TERMS & CONDITIONS
All website details, including prices, are subject to change and notification of any relevant changes will be given to the buyer following receipt of order. The buyer will subsequently be offered the opportunity to cancel or amend the order. All prices shown are correct at the time of publication.
Payment must be made with the order and orders will only be accepted on receipt of cleared funds.
Mr Dagan Tilley / The Tanfield Trading Company endeavours to maintain good customer service however, we have the right to refuse an order and any liability for failure to deliver in good time, or the performance of the product is limited to the value of the goods.
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order or you can pay via Paypal, you don’t need a Paypal account.
We accept Visa and MasterCard and most debit cards
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
How long will my order take to be delivered?
In most cases your order will be dispatched within 2 working days on a 48hour delivery to UK mainland addresses, except for Highlands and Islands of Scotland, please allow 2-3 extra working days for delivery. This is subject to available stock levels, and any unforeseen circumstances.
Some items like personlised desks and chairs can take up to 15 days.
Delivery Costs
Millhouse products, Wheely Bugs and the Moover range are post free.
The large outdoor play equipment varies from £20 - £50 depending on the size and weight, you can easily check the cost of delivery just add the item to your basket and the delivery cost will be displayed.
PLEASE NOTE delivery costs are for UK mainland only, Northern Ireland, Highlands and Islands, costs vary due to item ordered and delivery address, please ask us to quote before placing an order.
When receiving a delivery.
When your package arrives please inspect for damage to the exterior of the parcel before signing for 'in good condition' if the parcel appears damaged please sign for as damaged or do not accept delivery.
You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem.
Please quote your name, address, phone number, invoice number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
Please note that if your parcel is returned to us due to non delivery i.e. your were out at time of delivery and failed to contact us or the delivery office, your payment will be refunded less the standard delivery charge of £6.95
If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you.
You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Please Note that your order may turn up in seperate parcels
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.
Any goods returned should be in the same condition as when shipped.
These terms apply to your order.
We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.
None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
Return of a damaged, defective or incorrect item. The following explains what to do. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
In all cases please contact us by email first before returning any item/s

If your delivery contents have been damaged in transit you can return them to us within 14 days of receipt for exchange.
 
If the item develops a fault or arrives faulty.
You have the right to return the item within a reasonable length of time, please keep any receipts and warranty information as this will be needed to deal with your return.
If we send you an item that you did not order i.e. an incorrect item.
As soon as you find out we have sent you an incorrect item please contact us at once via email. Once we have confirmed that the item is incorrect and that you do not wish to keep it please return it securely in its original packaging via recorded delivery at the Post Office. we’ll also then supply a return address, we only supply an address at this point to save confusion as there are different warehouse addresses for each product range.
We will dispatch the correct item as soon as the incorrect item is returned and refund the incorrect item and your postage costs as soon as it arrives.
Our refunds policy
The following describes how we calculate refunds and outlines our policy.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
When you return an item to us we will process the returned item/s, then notify you via email of your refund. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment as originally used for the purchase within 14 working days of receiving your return.
How the refund is calculated.
Items returned because they are damaged, defective or incorrect.
If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or it has been damaged in transit or arrived defective, we will refund the item and reimburse you your cost of returning the order to us.
Items returned within the 7 day cooling off period.
By law, customers located within the European Union have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within 7 days from the day after the date the item is delivered.
Where you are withdrawing from your purchase within the 7 day cooling off period, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund the cost of the item, and the cost of postage if applicable
We will not refund postage charges incurred in returning the item to us, this is up to.

your name, address, phone number, invoice number and a note about the problem
we will then issue with an RMA number which must be written on the outside of the packing or any return paperwork, we’ll also then supply a return address, we only supply an address at this point to save confusion as there are different warehouse addresses for each product range.
You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
